Your brother and others may have taken college deferments, but then they're
not criticizing other peoples' military records right now, are they?
It's the old "glass house" analogy. Many people would consider it a
horrible disservice to those in uniform if they were to condemn the military
service of others if they themselves had not served a day in uniform. In
fact, Dubya would consider it downright disloyal.
But then, there are:
Bill Bennett: college deferment
Bill O'Reilly: college deferment
Rush Limbaugh: college deferment
Michael Savage: college deferment
Tom DeLay: wanted to serve but discovered that "blacks and hispanics had
taken all the good spots"
