[Vision2020] Kerry's military record, redux.

I agree, Joan.
The very same people that accuse us of being disloyal and suggest that we do
not support our troops, attempt to discredit the integrity of of those that
have been there. They claimed that McCain was not mentally capable of
holding an elected office. They accuse Kerry of wavering in his judgements
and not being truly loyal to a cause.
Yet, their judgements and behavior are determined by the "flavor" of the
month. Are we in Iraq to locate and destroy weapons of mass destruction?
Are we there to destroy links between Iraq and terrorist organizations? Or
(most recently) are we there to ensure establishment of a free and
Democratic country where all religions and both genders are looked upon
equally?
This same Bush administration accuses former President Clinton of failure to
take action. How soon they forget the old Republican battle cry, "No War
for Monica" when President Clinton threatened to take military action
against Osama Bin Laden as the Republicans and Special Prosecutor Starr were
investigating Clinton's sex life.
This same president promised not to leave a single child behind, just its
generation. This same president promised reduced prescription costs, as he
now looks to reduce Social Security and Medicare. This same president
spends more time, money and effort in maintaining the safety on the streets
of Baghdad, as the streets of our own inner cities are becoming less safe as
more and more inner city programs are axed due to budget woes.
But don't blame me. I voted with the majority last election.
