John queries:

>Is exploiting the black man for money, prestige, and power, racist?

Gee, John, is there just the one? That's a lot of pressure, isn't it? You
wouldn't think there'd be much money, prestige, or power in the exploitation
of just one guy. . . even those sweet, self-sacrificing Southern owners of
human beings for fun and profit tended to collect a few--and some women,
too.

Tip o' the nib to Margaret Cho,

Go, said the bird, for the leaves were full of children,
Hidden excitedly, containing laughter.
Go, go, go, said the bird: human kind
Cannot bear very much reality.
Burnt Norton, T.S. Eliot
