Oh, there was a *lot* more there than just that! That's the tip of the
iceberg.
The bottom line: backers of the levies have been screaming that MSD teachers
are underpaid; and that we need to raise their salaries to benefit the kids.
That's a bunch of hooey. The teachers are paid about 3 times what the
average Idahoian makes!
I will agree that the teacher salary grid provides an incentive for
disfunctional outcomes -- and that's what we see in spades.
