I’ve spoken with both Jack T and Greg G. My major point is that we’d like definite parameters of when there is a sufficient nexus. Also, Mitchell Gans who is a constitutional expert will participate. Let’s have a call this week. Jonathan

Subject: [EstGift] Amicus brief in Kaestner

For your information:

The ACTEC Amicus Briefs Committee has, with the approval of the Executive Committee, decided to write an amicus brief in the Kaestner case.
The deadline is tight because the case has been set for hearing April 16 and Petitioner’s brief is due February 22. Because ACTEC intends to not take a position for one side or the other, our brief is due 7 days after, March 1.

If you have thoughts or ideas, or would like to help, please contact Greg Gadarian who is quarterbacking the creation of the committee.

Thank you.
