Folks,

Sure, you may be up to your earlobes in snow right now, but in just seven short weeks we'll be in the midst of the Annual Meeting in sunny Las Vegas! The Estate & Gift Tax Committee will meet on Wednesday, March 16 from 3:00 to 6:00. Early bird registration continues through next Friday, and I hope that you're making plans to join us.

For those in attendance, please think about this: You'll be investing a lot of time and money to come to Vegas. You'll be investing 3 hours of your life that you will never get back while sitting in that meeting room. Wouldn't it be smart to invest 15 minutes of your time tomorrow to make sure that the meeting will have content that is relevant to you and your practice? You know what you want to hear about. You maybe even know who you'd like to hear from! You only get a few chances a year to participate in a discussion with the brightest minds on topics that are important to your practice. So here's your chance to let me know what's keeping you up at night!

So you're STILL suffering from "impostor syndrome<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impostor_syndrome>"? It's okay. The fact is that whether you believe it or not, your ideas are just as good as other attendees', and probably a lot better than mine. But I get it. So once again, I'm extending my limited-time offer: As with prior meetings, if you reply now with your topic idea, I promise NOT to ask you to present it (unless you want to). Yes, you and I both know that isn't the way these things normally work, but what better way to get your conundrum contemplated than to have someone ELSE do the leg work? Send me the topic of your choice now, and I'll do my best to find a "guru" to talk about it.

Our agenda is already starting to take shape, but there is still plenty of room to get your topic on the schedule.

Stop RIGHT NOW and block out 15 minutes on tomorrow's calendar to noodle about an idea and shoot me an e-mail.

Thanks and see you soon!

Mickey
