[EstGift] That burning question . . .

Bonjour, mes amis!
It's know it's hard to believe, but we're just six short weeks away from the Summer Meeting in Quebec! The Estate & Gift Tax Committee will meet on Saturday, June 20 from 2:45 to 5:15, and I hope that you're making plans to join us.
So you're going to be in beautiful, historic Quebec City, for Pete Squeaks! Why should you take two and a half hours away from seeing the sites to sit in the (almost certainly windowless) conference room of an historic hotel? The ONLY reason I can think of is that the meeting will have content that is relevant to you and your practice. If you have a burning question that is keeping you up at night, and you want to hear the brightest minds on the continent talk about it, you need to let me know!
And once again, I'm extending my limited-time offer: If you reply now with your topic idea, I promise NOT to ask you to present it (unless you want to). Yes, you and I both know that isn't the way these things normally work, but what better way to get your conundrum contemplated than to have someone ELSE do the leg work? Send me the topic of your choice now, and I'll do my best to find a "guru" to talk about it.*
Our agenda is taking shape and we already have several great topics, but we still have a few open slots, so act now!
And don't forget to check those passports. You can't come if yours is expired.
Á bientôt,
Mickey

*Okay, within reason. I'll do my best to find someone to take on topics reasonably related to the scope of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee
