[EstGift] EGT Comm Williamsburg Meeting Materials

The Williamsburg meeting is now less than two weeks away. Dennis and Vickie
Belcher (not necessarily in that order of contribution) have done a superb
job of setting the stage for a truly memorable fall meeting in one of
America's most beautiful and historic sites, and the courts have
increasingly been adding to our agenda for the Estate and Gift Tax
Committee. Diana and I look forward to welcoming you to Williamsburg for an
in depth review of what is in the offing in Washington and to analyze a
significant number of important current developments. We would especially
like to thank and welcome Tom Hutton, who has graciously agreed to serve as
Secretary for the meeting, thus relieving Diana of the responsibility of
serving in that role or finding a willing volunteer.

We need one more volunteer by the end of the Williamsburg meeting. ACTEC is
in the process of expanding its website. One of the first steps will be the
posting of very brief alerts (similar to squibs in one of the tax loose
leaf tax services) when important new developments occur. Each ACTEC
substantive committee has been asked to appoint a recent developments
coordinator to prepare alerts for new developments in that committee's
substantive area. If you would be interested in serving in that capacity
for the Estate and Gift Tax Committee through the fiscal year ending in
March, 2011, please let Diana and me know prior to the Williamsburg
meeting.
